Aconite: Situations or accidents where patient suffers severe shock or fright, with agitation, restlessness and fear of death, such as car accidents, surgery, or childbirth. For burns and scalds with acute pain and shock, eye injuries. Cuts and wounds that bleed freely when characteristic shock is present.
Arnica: First remedy to think of in any accident. It helps the body cope with shock, physical trauma, bruising, concussion, black eyes, haemorrhage. Taken at the first opportunity and repeated as needed it may dramatically minimise damage after accidents and injuries.
Hypericum: For injury to nerve fibres, especially crush injuries – fingers, toes, spine, etc. Cuts, abrasions and burns. Helps to reduce pain and address nerve damage. Sharp, shooting pains. Often used in combination with Arnica and may need to be repeated often for pain.
Ledum: Puncture wounds (bites, stings, needle stick injury), sprains and strains with characteristic symptoms of chilly, painful, stiff areas, better for cool bathing or compresses.
