Oral Health

Attention to diet and oral hygiene from birth along with regular dental checks is essential in the maintenance of our dental health. Plaque forms daily even in a healthy mouth and is best removed by regular and thorough brushing and flossing. Sugar reacts with the bacteria in plaque and causes decay. It is recommended that food and drinks rich in sugar be minimised for the sake of dental and general health.

Homoeopathy can’t take the place of oral health care and dental treatment but rather it helps support the body’s own healing process.
Arsenicum: Easily bleeding gums. Ulceration with dryness and burning heat. Metallic taste. Fatigue.

The tongue may have a yellow or white coating showing teeth imprints. Gums are often inflamed, swollen and spongy, sore or numb, and tend to bleed easily.

Nat mur: Lips and the corners of the mouth are dry, or cracked. Cold sores around the lips that may appear with a cold, sun exposure or after an emotional upset. Ulcers in mouth and on the tongue which smart and burn when touched by food. Loss of taste and smell, or a salty taste.
