Description
The Cough Complex is a combination of homoeopathic remedies used traditionally for the symptoms associated with uncomplicated coughs which are the result of a cold or flu. The complex includes the following remedies: Belladonna 6c, Drosera 6c, Ipecac 6c, Kali Carb 6c, Phosphorous 6c, Pulsatilla 6c, Spongia 6c.
This remedy can be repeated a few times daily and may need to be continued for a week or so before the cough is fully resolved.
If there is no change after a couple of days then consult your homoeopathic home prescribing book to select a more suitable remedy.
If coughs become harsh and uncomfortable it is often a good idea to use a natural herbal cough medicine along with the remedies to soothe irritation and/or aid in expectoration. A warm drink of lemon, honey and garlic can soothe troublesome coughs.
As a complement to your remedies the herbal complex Echinacea with Vitamins A,C,E and Zinc is an excellent immune stimulant. For children it is better to use a Children’s Multi-Vitamin and Echinacea Herbal Liquid. Increasing the uptake of Vitamin C will accelerate the process and help with resolution. Should you have problems with persistent cough or sinus congestion there are other homoeopathic remedies to address these specific areas.
