Description
Cuprum metallicum is traditionally used for the symptomatic relief of spasms, violent cramping and convulsions. This includes cramping of the toes and fingers; cramps in calves and the soles of the feet that feel better from stretching the leg and foot out; spasms of the throat; spasms and constriction of the chest. Other indications include: strong colic that causes contraction of the abdomen, that feels better for warmth but worse for raising the arms; a strong metallic or slimy taste in the mouth; a gurgling sound after swallowing fluids; and feeling better for drinking cold water. Pale blueness of the skin and lips and clenching of the thumbs in the palms is characteristic of Cuprum met.
