Phytolacca is traditionally used for the symptomatic relief of glandular swellings, like in mastitis with hard, swollen or tender breasts; or sore throat where the tonsils are swollen with shooting pains into ears on swallowing.
The remedy may also be beneficial for teething children with irresistible desire to bite the teeth together.
